Validating Generative Video for Panoramic Cinema

I led a high-uncertainty R&D project to determine if generative AI could replace manual VFX for expanding standard video into panoramic formats.

Facing a massive compute bottleneck, initially estimated at weeks per clip, I developed a new iterative out-painting workflow that proved technical viability while reducing processing time by to under 2 hours per clip.

I provided the client with the strategic guidance needed to turn a speculative concept into a cost-effective, high-margin production reality.

Example Out-Painted Result For The Matrix

  1. Deliverables: Strategic Feasibility Report, Cost Analysis, Prototype Code & Video Results.

  2. Value Proposition: Validated AI as a high-margin, low-overhead alternative to traditional VFX.

  3. Commercial Output: Delivered cost-predictability and prototype results for strategic sales guidance.

  4. Core Achievement: Proved high-coherence video out-painting is possible for movie clips up to 20 seconds and beyond.
